If you’re thinking of taking a trip to the Emerald Isle’s capital city you can expect to spend a good deal more on your accommodations. Overtaking such notoriously pricey cities as Stockholm and London, data from global hotel solutions provider HRS shows that Dublin’s hotel prices are now the second most expensive in Europe. Room rates have risen by 70 percent between the second quarter of 2015 and 2016 with the average hotel rate reaching €188 (or $213 USD). The only city with rates higher than Dublin? Oslo. So if you’re planning on visiting Dublin, make sure to shop around and book early.
