A town dived, or so it may seem, Strasbourg is indeed a great city to visit. Situated in the heart of Europe just a mere 10 km from the German border , this French city is the host to many European parliamentary buildings, a magnificent cathedral and some of the best eateries you’ll ever experience.

This place lost in time has been the victim of much conflict throughout the centuries constantly changing borders and challenging its people. Nonetheless due to its historical importance you can visit some of the most intriguing museums giving in depth insights to the cultural change of this Alsace city. Walking through its narrow streets the architecture is unique in its own way, mostly Germanic influenced it still holds that French touch of class that gives it an edge over neighboring towns. A walk around with the one you love is advised. An excellent location for a weekend break away with that person, the city has numerous attractions and many fine restaurants.
Au Pont Du Corbeau, on 21 Quai St Nicolas is honestly in this authors opinion, one of the best food indulges you should experience. Its traditional cuisine style and friendly prices are a massive attraction to its locals and tourists. Also go visit the many bakeries that are on offer and just try it all! The perfect place for that food fanatic that hides in us all.
Places to recommend for sightseers, The Cathedral dating back to the 1100’s is breathtaking, climbing to the top of the tower gives a panoramic view of this gorgeous Ville, I do warn you the climb is quite steep and water and rests is advised.
Secondly the boat tour, III River that flows into the Rhine, this boat trip goes through the entire city giving an in-depth insight to the town’s history. Available in 7 different languages and with a fee of only 8€ this 45 minute boat ride is a must.
Finally, just walking through the old town and taking it all in. This is Strasbourg, get lost in the city and just enjoy what it can offer you.
