VALLE DE BRAVO, MEXICO´S "PUEBLO MÁGICO"

Designated as “pueblo mágico” by the Mexican government, Valle de Bravo is a small town located in the edge of a beautiful lake, 76 km away from Mexico city. The use of wood, mud and bricks stand out all around town, as well as the stone paved streets and pitched roofs. The people from the cities around Valle de Bravo, choose it as a weekend place to rest and enjoy the multiple activities Valle offers.

Water sports, paragliding, horseback riding, moto-cross and golf are just some of the activities that make Valle de Bravo an ideal place to visit, no matter the age. Near the town is located a Rocky place known as "La Peña", where traces of Pre-Hispanic paintings have been found. The views at the lakeside are stunning but the beguiling and largely intact colonial centre is arguably the real draw here. Valle is set up well for visitors. There’s a tourist-info kiosk on the wharf and essential services, including ATMs and internet cafes, are found around the main plaza, which is a 10-minute walk uphill from the waterfront.

However, if you are more of a night person and are interesting in having fun at night, Valle´s nightlife has always been distinguished for its festive spirit and safety. You cannot miss the opportunity to visit the local bars & nightclubs. Just walking through the main street fills you with glee and excitement as the ambiance of this little village truly comes alight.

La Pachanga is the most known and favoured nightclub for young people as it offers an attractive variety of beverages and the musical creativity of renowned DJs who make every night an unforgettable experience. For adults 30 years old or older, Pila Seca is the perfect night venue in Valle de Bravo. Its relaxed interior along with a background of smooth music will surely bring that good holiday vibe to you. It also has an outside garden and roofed terrace for you to choose from.

Talking about tradition, the town's major festival is called Festival de las Almas; it usually occurs in the month of October and involves many old Mexican traditional games and dances as well as elaborates fireworks displays. If you plan to come during a festival, over Christmas, or on a weekend, make sure you make hotel reservations well in advance. Do not miss the opportunity to visit one of the most magical little towns in Mexico and remember.... #wewereder.
