You don’t need a letter from an owl—or even a theme park ticket—to visit the world of Harry Potter! From October 27th through 30th the city of Ithaca, NY will transform itself into a magical hotspot for its Wizarding Weekend festival. On the last weekend in October witches, wizards, and muggles alike are invited to partake in everything from a Horcrux Hunt to a Triwizard Ball.
The festival started last year when local business owners decided to turn Press Bay Alley into Diagon Alley for local trick-or-treaters to enjoy. But when word got out, the quaint community event exploded, bringing thousands of visitors streaming into downtown Ithaca. Now in its second year, Wizarding Weekend boasts a full slate of entertainment, vendors, and games.
